The candidate will have a passion for web design and marketing/advertising and the ability to create engaging and on-brand websites for various clients. This person must be a self-starter, team-oriented, have a yearning to learn, and excel at multi-tasking multiple projects. There are also opportunities to help with other design projects, such as print graphics, layouts, logo design, etc. Please note that the majority of the work is for websites. Responsibilities:
- Design and create visually appealing and user-friendly websites
- Develop responsive web designs that are compatible with various devices and screen sizes.
- Testing and improving the design of the website.
- Establishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices.
- Maintaining the appearance of websites by enforcing content standards.
- Designing visual imagery for websites and ensuring that they align with client branding.
- Working with content management systems like Webflow, Wix, and WordPress.
- Communicating design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps, and wireframes.
- Incorporating functionalities and features into websites.
- Designing sample pages, including colors and fonts.
- Preparing design plans and presenting the website structure.
- Other projects/duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Proficient in Adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, etc) and other visual design tools.
- Good understanding of content management systems.
- Good knowledge of search engine optimization principles.
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
- Proficiency in front-end development web programming languages such as HTML and CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript.
- Excellent visual design skills.
- Up-to-date experience with web protocols, standards, and technologies.
- Creative and open to new ideas.
- Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Fearless attitude towards technology and a willingness to learn
- Ability to handle multiple projects at once while maintaining organization and deadlines
- Collaborative with a self-starting team spirit
- Maintain familiarity with digital trends and other relevant media
- Knowledge of Webflow is a plus
- Degree in Web Design, Design, or a related field is a plus
- 2+ years of web design experience preferred
