Grova Creative Takes Home Best of Show at the Angel Awards

Our team at Grova Creative couldn’t be more thrilled about our wins for our “#ThisMessageMatters” public service campaign at The Angel Awards. The Angel Awards is a show hosted by the American Advertising Federation Fourth District to highlight the best in public service advertising throughout the state of Florida and the Caribbean. 

In addition to Best of Show in the Cause Promotion category, the highest level award at The Angel Awards, our campaign won four gold awards for creative, campaign, social media, and outdoor executions. As a team who worked tirelessly and passionately toward creating an educational resource, an outdoor campaign, and design elements to spread awareness and fight for racial equality, being highlighted by an organization as prestigious as the American Advertising Federation is a true honor. 

In reaction to winning the awards, our CEO, Giavona (G) Williams, had the following to say: “My team inspired me to do this project. They were inspired based on everything happening locally, which forced me to share my black experience and educate others which I am extremely grateful for.” 

Although it’s fulfilling to receive recognition for our advocacy work, our team doesn’t plan on stopping here. The fight is far from over, and there is still much work to be done. We will continue to share and update our resources to ensure the conversation, education, empowerment, and advocacy never fades into the background until we see change.
