Hi, everybody! My name is Nola, and I am Grova Creative’s newest marketing & writing intern! I am currently a graduate student at Florida State University pursuing my Master’s in Strategic Communication.
I like to say I’m from “a little bit of everywhere.” I grew up in Minnesota before beginning my migration south, where I briefly lived in Atlanta before eventually landing in Tallahassee for school. In the past few years, I’ve called about five different cities home. Each move has helped shape who I am, introducing me to new perspectives and opportunities during such a pivotal time in my life. Now, joining Grova feels like the perfect continuation of this journey with new experiences and lessons waiting ahead. I was instantly inspired by the creativity here, and I’m optimistic about the ways I can learn and contribute to their work as I begin my career in marketing and communications.
When I’m not working or studying, you can find me spending quality time with friends and family, going for walks, journaling, or mindlessly scrolling on social media (guilty). As a former cheerleader, I love staying active and consider myself fairly social.
Some more about me:
I am a blackbelt in karate.
“Always go with the choice that scares you the most, because that’s the one that is going to help you grow.” – Caroline Myss.
Pasta of any kind… I’ve never met a carb I don’t like.
🕺This guy right here.
I am a huge nerd for both The Hunger Games and the Harry Potter series.
From electric football games in Doak Campbell Stadium, to the day it snowed on our Florida campus, to living in my sorority house with 45 of my best friends, it’s hard to pick just one!
I would like to express my gratitude to G and the rest of the team for the opportunity to be here. This internship means a lot to me, and I’m eager to gain real-world experience during my time.
