Hellooooo there! My name is Hannah, and I’ve worn a few different hats during my time at Grova Creative. Nowadays, my primary role is Account Manager, keeping up with client relationships and managing tasks, but I just can’t resist getting my hands on projects whenever I have the time. My favorite types of projects to help with are websites, ads, commercials & other videos, as well as social media!
I find it so inspiring to work in an environment where creativity is everywhere I look. Seeing the work our designers/artists create is one of the parts of this job that fuels me because they are truly so talented. Plus, the clients’ reactions to the work are always priceless! Our team and clients make this job so meaningful and exciting for me.
A little bit about me: I’m a born-and-raised Tallahassee local and haven’t left this place just yet. When I’m not working, I’m most likely spending time with my dog and family, friends, or partner. Some of my passions include trying new restaurants & hotspots, going on road trips, and traveling occasionally. I love cooking and trying new recipes, especially when I have a fun sous chef around. When it comes to what I watch, I love watching trash TV, crime shows, and whatever people are raving about just to see what all the hype’s about. My taste in music is allllll over the place. If you shuffle my song library, you’d get a queue like: the most overplayed song by Cardi B, a girly pop song, a 1980-2000s throwback, and maybe something from Mamma Mia. Also, probably a country song you would compare to “nails on a chalkboard.” What can I say? I love the variety!
I love a good Q&A, so here we go!
I start each day by reviewing my emails and tasks in Asana, then I check the status of my active projects. After that, I touch base with clients if needed and host/attend meetings. Since I enjoy copywriting, I will assist with writing copy for various clients and projects. I also help with Grova’s social media and marketing strategy, which is one of the more creative aspects of my job.
I was getting ready to graduate from FSU, following an insane couple of COVID years, and things were finally starting to slowly get back to normal-ish. Working part-time at a local monogramming shop was a fun way to pass my time, but I knew I’d have to start seriously thinking about my career very soon. Let’s face it—as a generic communications major in college, I had no clue what I was about to do with the rest of my life.
So, I started searching and cast a wide net, trying to figure out how I wanted to spend my summer. After some applications and interviews, I ended up with two options: working as a marketing/communications intern at Grova OR serving as a summer art teacher for young kids in the area. I ended up going with Grova and quickly learned that it was the best choice for me!
LANY, Khalid, Ariana Grande, Harry Styles, Kacey Musgraves, Bazzi, Sabrina Carpenter, a wide variety of rappers, some random DJs—the list is never-ending.
I look up to the local women who are absolute powerhouses in our area, who are building businesses and strong teams. They are who I aspire to be like! Freelancers, ladies making their marks in agencies + on in-house teams, my friends who are artists in a variety of ways, my co-workers, my badass boss, of course! There’s inspiration all around.
I would 100% choose teleportation. If you know me, you know being punctual is not always my superpower. Plus, being able to snap my fingers and be on a beach or a mountain somewhere would be a dream come true.
That’s me in a nutshell! Overall, I am grateful for Grova because I continue to learn each and every day in an environment that supports and values creativity, collaboration, and work-life balance.
